Pier 39

A friend and I went to Pier 39 in San Francisco, CA.  This was my first time ever being there.  All I can say is "Wow."  Too bad it was only for 1 day.  I can see Alcatraz from there.

The temperature that day was 61 degree.  It was a nice and breezy day.  There was a lot of stores and restaurants, but boy it's pretty pricey.

There are also other attractions, but too many to name, so I'm not going to name them.

We didn't know where to eat because there was so many restaurant to chose from.  We decided to go Fog Harbor.  I was expecting a long wait, since there a was a lot of people all around Pier 39.  Turn out we were seated right away.

The food was delicious.  I figured, hey I'm in the bay area, let's order lobster and wine.  We couldn't believe it when we got the check.  It was pricey like I said earlier, but it was ok, it was my first time and I enjoyed it while it last.

Sausage Stir-Fry With Onions

1 pack of sausage
1 onion
cilantro and green onion
fresh garlic or fried garlic
oyster sauce
oil

Cut the sausage in diagonal.
Dice onion to thin slice

Pour oil and garlic into sauce pan.  Once oil is hot, pour sausage into sauce pan and stir.  Stir occasionally, make sure the sausage doesn’t stick to the pan.  If it starts to stick, add some water. Once sausage is cook, drain excess oil and put the sausage back into the pan and add more water for flavor and juice.  Pour onion into pan and stir and then add oyster sauce and stir occasionally.  Once onion is cook, turn off heat and add cilantro and green onion.

Enjoy!
Leftovers, don't you loved them.  Having chicken or turkey leftovers are great to make sandwiches, salads, or wrap it in a tortilla and make it into a taco.  There are so many ways to make left overs into a new dish.

Making Eggrolls

Everyone loves egg rolls I know I do.  I remember growing up seeing my mother making egg rolls for my family and special occasions.  Prep and cooking takes a while, but the hard work pays off after biting into one.  My mother taught me how to make egg roll, but I added other sauce into my own recipe to make it more delicious.  Here is my own recipe and it is different from the restaurants.  Every egg roll recipe has it’s own unique fillings.

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. of your choice of meat (chicken, pork, beef, shrimp)
I prefer pork (taste better)
1 cup of carrots-shredded
2 eggs
1 bag of thin vermicelli noodle
1 cup of cilantro-chopped
½ cup green onion-chopped
Salt n pepper to your tasting
2 spoon full of Oyster Sauce
2 spoon full of Hoisin Sauce
Oil for cooking
1 egg yolk to seal egg roll
1 pack of egg roll wrapper (you can get it the Asian store in the freezer section)

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.  Peel the egg roll wrapper individual and put it aside.  Put a spoon full of the filling on an egg roll wrapper and roll it into an egg roll and use the egg yolk to seal it.

Pour the oil into the frying pan, wait until oil is hot and put the egg rolls into the pan.
Flip/turn the egg rolls in 2-3 minute until it is golden brown.  Once the egg rolls are golden brown, they are done.

Enjoy!

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Chocolate dipped strawberries are so good and delicious.  They can be pretty pricey when you want more then 1 or 2.

I made my own chocolate dipped strawberries.  It cost less and I can make more.  I dip the strawberries in chocolate and coated it with walnut nuts and coconuts.  It turned out great and taste so yummy.

What you would need:
1 cup of melted chocolate
Strawberries
Coconut strips
Walnut or any kind of nuts
Wax paper

Rinse the strawberries and damp them dry.  If the strawberries are still wet and you dip it in the chocolate, it's going to ruin the chocolate and get harden.

The best method to melt your chocolate is in the microwave.  I found this method better then a double boiler.  When melting the chocolate in the microwave, put it in bowl for 1 minute and stir it afterwards.  Make sure to not to put more then 2 minutes as the chocolate will get harden and it would not be good anymore.

Pour the coconut strip into a bowl or plate and the crushed nuts to mini pieces and put it in another bowl or plate.

Grab a strawberry and dip it in the melted chocolate and coated with coconut strip or nuts and put it aside on the wax paper.

Once cool down you can enjoy them!
